Collecting items from your home

Whereas many large courier companies will charge extra for home pickups, or require a minimum sending volume, we’re different. We’ll collect from your home, no problem. You’ll get accurate communication to let you know when you r driver is en route, and they’ll respect social distancing guidelines when collecting your parcels. If you’re unlucky enough to still be at work, we can collect from there too! Just let us know where to be, and we’ll be there.

Collecting items the same day

We understand that timely and transparent delivery of customer orders is critical to your seller feedback score. For all collections booked before 12 noon, we offer same-day collection. Our nationwide network of delivery partners will then get your item to its destination, with full tracking available to both you and your customer.


Continuing to provide the same great service

Although we’ve had to make some adjustments to deal with the Coronavirus outbreak, we’re still committed to supporting UK businesses and their customers by ensuring fast, reliable and safe delivery of their parcels. We’re currently unable to guarantee a signature as Proof of Delivery as our delivery drivers would normally use a handheld device to obtain a signature – for reasons of hygiene and safety, these will not be handed to customers during the outbreak. However, our delivery partners will endeavour to obtain a “next best” method of POD, such as a photo, or logging the name of the person accepting the delivery. You’ll still have access to our easy-to-use portal and our customer service team to support you with any queries.

Our smart collections portal can be integrated with your eBay seller account, to quickly, accurately and easily process and track all of your orders. Once you’ve booked a collection, you can easily add more items before the driver arrives, if you have subsequent sales. As above, you won’t even need to leave the house. Beat the Post Office queues, keep yourself safe, and keep your business going.

Same Day Collection

We guarantee same-day collection for orders placed before noon, so you can continue to offer clarity and certainty on delivery times to your customers.

All of our drivers use a "Collection App" - so you will get an accurate ETA (so parcels can be safely left outside for collection). We will also send you a photo / digital receipt to confirm receipt.

National Coverage

The Collect Group has a network of very dedicated regional partners operating across the UK. So we can offer you a "local feel" with FULL NATIONAL and international coverage.

Parcels and Packets are processed into national sortation hubs on the same day as collection, so we are able to offer a full range of services including timed (pre 12), next day and economy services.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the virus be spread by parcels?

Various viral posts on social media have suggested that the Coronavirus can live on surfaces for up to 28 days, and therefore anyone receiving a parcel which has been in contact with a COVID-19 carrier is at risk. We’re not microbiologists or specialists in infectious diseases, but the advice from Public Health England is that there is no evidence to suggest that this is true.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) and Center for Disease Control (CDC) also share the view that there is minimal risk of anyone being infected by commercial goods packaging.

What if I’m / your collection agent is ill?

Our partners will be following Public Health England’s guidelines on “social distancing” and avoiding personal contact where possible. We will inform our customers of any change in circumstance where we’re unable to fulfil our service due to Coronavirus symptoms or diagnosis, and potential exposure of our customers, as a matter of urgency.

How will deliveries be handled?

For shipments sent on a service not requiring a signature, there is no challenge to existing arrangements and items can be left in a safe place. For shipments sent on a POD service, carriers are adopting various measures to give the best and most appropriate service to the sender and the receiver. Generally, this means knocking and stepping back, and taking details of the person answering, so that a name can be entered or endorsed, and then a system message is entered for delivery being completed but no signature gained. The idea is obviously to minimise contact and avoid handling of the handheld terminals.
